A woman in her early 20s is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a car Friday night outside Oakridge Centre in Vancouver.

Police say two cars collided shortly after 7 p.m. at West 41st Ave. and Cambie St., sending one of the vehicles careening towards a pedestrian standing at the corner of the intersection.

The woman has yet to be identified by police, and medical staff are still determining the extent of her injuries.

The occupants of both vehicles suffered only minor wounds.

Vancouver police collision investigators remained at the scene until late Friday night. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
