An Okanagan man run by a power boat while kayaking over the weekend is going to need surgery for gashes he got from the boat's propeller.
The man was hit on Saturday in Okanagan Lake between Peachland and Rattlesnake Island.
Police think it was a case of the power boat operator not being able to see the low-riding kayak in the high waves.
The kayaker, who was rescued by the people in the power boat, suffered serious gashes to his legs and rib cage, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
