Burnaby RCMP have recovered six of the 10 Canucks hockey jerseys intended for a charity auction that were stolen from Dueck GM on Sunday.
They received a 911 call Wednesday afternoon from a Good Samaritan who reported the jerseys were in an office building elevator at 3965 Kingsway.
The recovered jerseys included:
- One Canucks Trevor Linden #16 autographed jersey, adult size
- One Canucks Trevor Linden #16 jersey, child size
- Two Team Canada Roberto Luongo #1 jerseys, adult size
- One Canucks Roberto Luongo #1 jersey, adult size
- One Canucks Daniel Sedin #22 jersey, adult size
The jerseys that are still missing include:
- One Canucks Trevor Linden #16 autographed jersey, adult size
- One Canucks Trevor Linden #16 jerseys, children size
- One Canucks Henrik Sedin #33 jersey, adult size
- One Alex Burrows #14 jersey, adult size
A white Sony VIO laptop that was also stolen Sunday night was recovered with the jerseys.
Police are asking the public for help recovering the four jerseys that are still missing, which were to be auctioned on behalf of the BC Children's Hospital.
A number of security camera images of a suspect were released on Wednesday. He is a white male, between 5-5 and 5-7 tall, and approximately 30 to 35 years old.
He was wearing a black Callaway golf baseball hat, blue jeans, a black hoodie with a large colourful design and a black T-shirt with a gold eagle design on the front.
Anyone with information on the suspect or who knows the whereabouts of any of the stolen property is asked to call Vancouver police at 604-717-2773 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
