VANCOUVER - Two Vancouver-area ferries that will soon be rendered obsolete thanks to B.C.'s newest bridge have gone up for sale on Craigslist for $1.1 million each.

The Golden Ears Bridge between Langley and Maple Ridge officially opened to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, ending the Albion Ferry's long run as the main transportation connection between the two cities.

The Albion Ferry will continue to run until July 31, but that hasn't stopped brokerage company Harlow Marine International from listing the vessels on the popular online classifieds.

Company founder and spokesman Gary Harlow says he doesn't think there's anything unusual about listing the ferries on Craigslist.

Harlow says his company uses every possible means to advertise and that the attention the posting has received must indicate he's doing something right.

The Craigslist advertisement says the ferries are up for sale as-is, are in very good condition, and feature a passenger capacity of up to 150 people.
