Fire has destroyed a large home in Richmond, B.C., only several kilometres away from the newly constructed speed skating oval that will be used during the 2010 Games.
The blaze broke out in a two storey home around 3 p.m. in the 6100-block of Azure Road.
The house may be under construction. Numerous pieces of scaffolding and building materials can be seen on the property.
Fire officials say no one was injured in the fire.
