A supermarket in Surrey, B.C.,  is being sued by a woman who says she was bitten by a spider that was lurking in some produce at a store.

Jessica Rocha De Mori claims she suffered a severe allergic reaction to the bite and her hands, arms legs, chest and abdomen became swollen and infected.

The lawsuit claims T and T Supermarket should have known spiders may be in the produce and alleges negligence against the store.

Rocha De Mori is seeking unspecified damages, expenses and medical care costs.
