Human remains have been found in the Alpine Meadows area in Whistler.
Whistler RCMP said a couple had been hiking in a wooded area in the Alpine Meadows area on Saturday afternoon when they found human remains.
Staff Sgt. Steve LeClair said a preliminary examination of the scene has been conducted, and investigators have not been able to identify the deceased.
The investigation is ongoing, and foul play has been ruled out, he said.
