Two brothers from northern B.C. have been charged with murder after police discovered the body of a slain man inside a cardboard box.

Twenty-two-year-old Wesley Lulu-Gladue was stabbed to death in Dawson Creek on Nov. 5. Mounties found his body two days later inside a large box stashed in a garbage bin at the Sunridge Apartments complex.

Investigators are connecting the murder with evidence of a serious assault found inside a suite in the same building.

Ryan and Clayton Beaulieu, aged 26 and 22 respectively, have both been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing. The two brothers remain in police custody.

Police do not believe the slaying is gang-related, but say there is no further risk to the community.
