Pop group Wilson Phillips is slated to perform a free show at Vancouver's Pacific National Exhibition on September 1 after a bout of stage fright caused American band Cheap Trick to cancel its performance.

The best-selling trio consisting of Carnie and Wendy Wilson, daughters of Beach Boys member Brian Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas is best known for their 90's hit "Hold On."

The group played their best-selling hit in a cameo for the movie "Bridesmaids" earlier this year.

The songstresses sold over 10 million copies of the 1990 debut album and had three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. The sales of their album made them the most successful female group at the time.

Cheap Trick cancelled their Vancouver performance on Tuesday after learning that the company providing the Vancouver stage is the same one whose structure collapsed on them in July while they were performing at the Ottawa Bluesfest.

Other performers playing this year at the PNE include Miranda Cosgrove on August 21, Kenny Rogers on August 29 and Donnie Osmond on August 30.
