Fisher-Price and Health Canada are recalling a small red Builders' Load'n Go Wagon that is part of the Little People line of toys.

The notice says the underside of the wagon's yellow plastic handle has moulded-in reinforcement, which adds stiffness and makes it easier for kids to grip.

But the handle poses a laceration hazard if the child falls on it, and there have been seven reports of incidents in the U.S., including five in which children received cuts that required stitches or surgical glue.

The company hasn't received any reports of incidents related to the use of the product in Canada.

The recall involves the Fisher-Price Little People Builders' Load'n Go Wagon with the model number P8977 on the bottom.

Fisher-Price says 2,800 of the affected products were distributed to retail stores in Canada, and sold from June 2009 to July 2011.
