Mounties have suspended the search for a missing 20-year-old woman from Vanderhoof, B.C. but hope partygoers present the night she disappeared will come forward and assist their investigation.

Madison Scott was last seen at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning at a party at Hogsback Lake, located about 25 kilometres south of Vanderhoof.

So far, none of the partygoers police have interviewed can recall seeing Scott leave.

Mounties and Search and Rescue teams from Vanderhoof, Prince George, Burns Lake and Fort St. James conducted extensive air, water and ground searches on Sunday and Monday. More than 150 volunteers searched shorelines, walking and ATV trails and logging roads near the lake, but found no sign of Scott.

On Tuesday, police announced the physical search had been suspended pending new information.

Police have learned that a second party took place in the area on Saturday, and are hoping an attendee has information about Scott's whereabouts.

"We believe someone who was in the area this weekend may have seen Madison or even spoken to her," RCMP spokesman Sgt. Rob Vermeulen said in a release.

"It is important that we determine what happened [Friday] night, what her plans were for Saturday and the rest of the weekend… We still have many questions as does Madison's family."

Police recovered Scott's tent and truck on Sunday, both of which are in police custody.

Scott is described as 5-4 tall, Caucasian, 170 lbs. with red hair. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jean Capri pants.

Anyone who may have seen her over the weekend but has not spoken to Mounties is urged to call Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222.
