Three more victims in the Vancouver birthday party shooting that injured 10 over the weekend have been released from hospital, leaving two women and three men still in treatment.

Ten people were injured early Sunday morning when someone opened fire with a high-powered assault rifle outside of a restaurant where known gangsters were celebrating the birthday of accused drug dealer Darren Cunningham.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Among the guests at the party were the Askari brothers, who police say are tied to a major gang. An attempt on Sahand Askari's life was made in a Vancouver suburb last week.

Bloody jeans taken as evidence outside Vancouver General Hospital are believed to belong to Paul Alexander Araki. Documents show a man by the same name has a criminal history that includes firearms charges.

Vancouver Police Chief Jim Chu said Monday all of the 10 shooting victims, ranging in age from 20 to 36 years old, have gang connections. So far, none have cooperated with police.

Investigators say the very public display of gun violence can be attributed to a longstanding gang feud which bubbled over when longtime Askari rival Gurmit Singh Dhak was shot to death in a mall parking lot Oct. 17.

Attendees of the party are believed to have been targeted because they know something about the death of Dhak.
