Drop your binoculars while cheering for Team Canada? Lose some jewelry at LiveCity Yaletown? Well time is running out to pick them up – the Olympics Spectator Lost and Found Claims Centre is closing permanently tomorrow afternoon.

The facility, located at 450 West Broadway, stores items that were left behind at all Games venues as well as the two LiveCity sites in downtown Vancouver.

Thousands of items have been processed, including cell phones, shoes, red Olympic mittens, strollers – even a retainer.

The lost and found will shut its doors at 4 p.m. Friday, but the public is asked to make their final claims by noon to allow employees time to locate their items.

After 4 p.m., no claims for lost property will be accepted.

VANOC will take all items found at Games venues and determine whether they will be resold, donated or dumped. The City of Vancouver will determine what to do with items found at the LiveCity sites.

For more information on claiming lost items, call 778-328-1111.
