Hundreds of people got a sneak peek at one of Vancouver's most popular fundraisers Monday.

The "Eagles in the City" sculptures were on display ahead of their auction Tuesday, marking the third time the Lions Society and Easter Seals have gathered artists to paint animal figures to benefit Easter Seal House.

But unlike previous fundraisers, this year's auction will feature a surprise eagle, not displayed on city streets, painted by celebrated Vancouver Island artist Roy Henry Vickers.
