A New Westminster man has been arrested in the murder of a woman in West Vancouver's Lighthouse Park last May.

Alexander Lawrence Le Glace, 45, was arrested Tuesday morning in Vancouver, and has been charged with second degree murder for the killing of Tammy-Lynne Cordone.

Cordone, originally from Thunder Bay, Ont., was 43 when she died.

Her body was discovered in a tent in the park on the morning of May 19 in the Juniper Point area of the park. The area overlooks English Bay, and is popular with hikers and rock climbers.

Police say that Cordone and Le Glace were known to each other, and the murder was not random.

Police believe that Cordone was living in the park at the time.

Le Glace is being held in custody pending his first appearance in provincial court Wednesday morning.
