The Vancouver Police Department is asking residents to help find a convicted sex offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of parole.
Christopher Schafer, 33, has convictions for sex assault with a weapon and break and enter. Police say Schafer left his Vancouver halfway house on March 1 and has not returned.
He is described an Aboriginal male, 5-8 tall, 165 lbs. with short brown hair and tattoos on his shoulders and left calf. Police say he also has numerous scars on his right knee, right ankle, right elbow and eyebrow.
Anyone who sees Schafer is asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
