Volunteers continued their search Sunday for Pierre Parkinson, a local Vancouver businessman who has been missing for a week.

A roughly 40-person search party comprised of family and friends spent the morning scouring Pacific Spirit Park, seeking any sign of Parkinson's presence.

"We're trying to do a methodical search to make sure we leave no stone uncovered," Parkinson's friend Sean Gocer told CTV News. "We appreciate every effort that people are making."

Parkinson, a father of two young children, was last seen leaving his home on Nov. 8.

On Nov. 10, his car was found in Stanley Park.

Though an extensive search of Stanley Park turned up empty, Gocher said volunteers are still hopeful.

"We've had a few tips, a few people believe they've seen him since Sunday," Gocher said.

Parkinson was last seen wearing a white touque with a blue stripe, a navy-coloured winter jacket, black fleece shirt, blue jeans and grey sneakers.

He's described as a 5-11 tall Caucasian male weighing 150 lbs. He has short salt-and-pepper hair and green eyes.

Anyone who spots Parkinson is asked to stay with him and call 911 immediately.

Updated search information and pictures of Parkinson are available at FindPierre.com.
