Police across B.C. will be cracking down on dangerous driving near intersections this month.
The RCMP say more than 40 per cent of all accidents attended by police in B.C. happen at intersections, while the Insurance Corporation of B.C. says there's an average of 250 crashes at intersections every day in the province.
ICBC says more than one million drivers were involved in intersection crashes between 2004 and 2008.
While the police will be stepping up enforcement around intersections, ICBC is urging drivers to slow down and be more cautions when approaching road crossings.
