Own a piece of Olympic history with the Red Mittens campaign.

On September 30, CTV British Columbia will be selling 200 pairs of red mittens as a preview of the upcoming campaign. The mittens are exact replicas of those to be worn by the 12,000 Torchbearers that will carry the flame during the Olympic Torch Relay.

The mittens will be available outside our studios at Robson and Burrard Streets in downtown Vancouver Wednesday evening between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. only.

Only 200 pairs will be available. The cost is $10, and payable only in cash.

Net proceeds from every pair will go to supporting our Canadian athletes.

Starting October 1, the red mittens will be available at ctvolympics.ca/redmittens, and The Bay and Zellers stores

The red mittens proudly show the Olympic Rings on the back of the hand, with a white maple leaf on the palm. Woolen red mitten are a childhood symbol of winter and warmth, and are part of our Canadian heritage.
