A former B.C. finance minister has landed another plum position.

Carole Taylor has joined Borden Ladner Gervais, Canada's largest law firm.

Taylor is not a lawyer but will be based in Vancouver handling regional and national clients as the firm's senior adviser on public policy, corporate governance, economic and trade matters.

The 64-year-old currently chairs the Economic Advisory Council for the federal government.

Taylor, a former CTV and CBC reporter and host, has served in several high profile posts, including four years as chair of CBC/Radio-Canada.

She stepped down in 2005 to serve one term as an MLA in Gordon Campbell's Liberal government but left her post as finance minister, resigning from provincial politics last December.
