Police have been unable to identify the man whose nude body was found in the water off Wreck Beach in Vancouver on May 22.

Foul play has been ruled out as a cause of death after an autopsy was performed, said Corp. Annie Linteau of the RCMP.

They hope, she added, that a review of recently missing persons will shed some light on the identity of the man.

He is described as Caucasian, in his late 30s to early 40s, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a receding hairline with trimmed sideburns. As well, the man was around 6-ft. tall and weighing 203 pounds, with no identifying marks on his body, but was fit with "significant body hair."

Wreck Beach is famous for its counterculture atmosphere and nudist beach.
