Family members of a Metro Vancouver shooting victim are speaking out as homicide investigators continue to search for his killer.

Twenty-three-year-old Jonathan Alex Barber was fatally shot as he drove a Porche SUV on Kingsway in Burnaby last May 10th.

After he lost control, the SUV crashed into a furniture store.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now confirmed Barber had no links to any gangs.

IHIT Inspector Bill Fordy and Barber's relatives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
