The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is dealing with two murders, one in Surrey, the other in Maple Ridge.

In Maple Ridge, a 19-year-old Coquitlam man was found with stab wounds in a car just past 4 a.m. at the intersection of 117 Ave. and 207 St. He later died in hospital.

A 17-year-old girl was arrested at a nearby home in connection with the stabbing.

In Whalley, a suburb of Surrey, a Delta woman's body was found inside a home at 103rd Ave. and 140th St.

A 36-year-old man has been taken into custody.

Police are not releasing the names of the victims or the suspects at this time.

The Surrey SPCA also removed a number of animals from the home.
