Fourth Avenue in Kitsilano was turned into a raceway for competitors from around the country in the Red Bull Soap Box Derby Sunday.
Among the competitors' homemade cars was the Batmobile, a fire engine, a dog sled, and Top Guns' Maverick and Goose.
The competitors were judged on speed, design, and their pre-race performance.
CTV's own Shannon Paterson took on a Much Music soapbox -- and won that round.
The Golden Shower Guys won the day -- and the fan's choice was Maverick and Goose.
