Prince George B.C.'s top cop will have to write apologies to four civilian workers who accused him of harassment earlier this year.

The punishment was ordered as part of a second informal investigation into questionable conduct by RCMP Superintendent Dahl Chambers.

The outcome of the informal probe will not be released, but the Mounties have confirmed the apologies will be issued as a result of the investigation.

The apology and a requirement that Dahl undergo "operational guidance'' stemmed from an earlier investigation in March after harassment allegations were made by Ken Corrigan, the top civilian employee in the detachment.

Deputy Commissioner Gary Bass, B.C.'s highest ranking RCMP officer, found Dahl engaged in demeaning name calling and made belittling or embarrassing comments.
