The parents of a Burnaby, B.C., man, missing for more than four months, is offering a $30,000 reward for the recovery of their son's remains.

Kellen McElwee was last seen at the Keg restaurant in Langley March 19. His car, a grey 2006 Honda Civic, was found six days later.

On April 2, Burnaby RCMP released surveillance footage from McElwee's condo building showing a man they wanted to speak with - but he has still not been identified by police.

In April, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took over the missing person case, saying they had information to believe foul play was involved in his disappearance.

A statement released from IHIT Thursday indicates it has received word that the former body builder is dead and officers have been unable to find any information to the contrary.

This is the second time the McElwee family has offered a reward to find out more about their son's disappearance. In April, Paula and Len McElwee offered $50,000 for information leading to Kellen's safe return.

Nearly three months later, their reward has now changed -- $30,000 for the location of his remains.

Anyone with information about McElwee is asked to contact the police tip line at 1-877-543-9217.
