Rena Heer joined CTV News in 2008 as the newest Weathercaster for CTV British Columbia.

Born and raised in the small town of Clearwater, BC, she then later moved to Burnaby. After her high school graduation, she attended Simon Fraser University.

Rena got her broadcasting start in 2002 at Channel M were she served as community relations manager and hosted the cooking series Fusion Fare.

In 2005, Rena took on the role of Weathercaster and Traffic Reporter at Global BC in Vancouver.

Rena is committed to various local charities and has participated in fundraising activities for the Firefighters' Burn Fund, the United Way of the Lower Mainland, the Surrey Foundation and BC's Children's Hospital.
