HD / Digital Service

Note: In order to receive free High Definition Over the Air Digital Television (HD OTA DTV), you must have a high definition receiver with an ATSC tuner and an outdoor UHF antenna (or minimum 20dB amplified indoor UHF antenna) pointed towards the transmitter tower on Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver. Your location, topography, and type of antenna will have an impact on the ability to receive the digital signal. CTV British Columbia's HD signal, identified as "CIVT-DT" is transmitted from North Vancouver's Mount Seymour on UHF Channel 32 in 1920x1080i and Dolby Digital AC-3.

If you live outside our OTA coverage area (Lower Mainland) and would like to receive have CTV British Columbia in HD please contact your local satellite, cable, or television provider.

CIVT is now transmitting TV GUIDE data (TVGOS) on our over the air (OTA) channel 32.1

This is a data service for TVs (and DVRs) with "TV Guide On Screen" built in software which allows viewers to see program listings and descriptions for local channels directly on their TV.
