They often play together, especially when the little guy gets bored. “Now that he’s older, I can take him outside and let him run,” says Robert. “He likes it whenever he sees me.” This photo was taken outside VANDU before an action coordinated by CCAP called A-wake, a mock funeral procession to show how condo development impacts the community. A-wake is the first housing march that photographer Valerie Fielding participated in. “It was long and I was tired coming back, but it’s for a darn good reason,” says Valerie. Born in Vancouver, Valerie often visits with her Mom who she says is her best friend. Valerie is a member of the women’s group, Positive Outlook.
